The concept of Patrick's Way was founded in the 1980's at the University of Notre Dame. A summa cum laude graduate of the Fighting Irish, Patrick co-founder, Kevin Michael Patrick Curry first envisioned what would become the Patrick Group of Companies in an entrepreneurial and small business class. Impassioned with the concept of providing a broad array of elite construction and real estate services, Kevin immersed himself in the industry during his days at Notre Dame and upon his return to his native Buffalo Niagara region.

Kevin saw to it that Patrick was already a successfully operating group of companies when he completed his graduate work at the law school of the State University of New York at Buffalo. The vision of the elite Patrick Group of Companies was significantly advanced during these long days and nights of work and study. Kevin went to law school with no goal of practicing law, but with a quest for knowledge and experience that would advance the success of his life's work, Patrick.

Impassioned with vision, Patrick became empowered with action when Paul Michael Bliss joined with Kevin Curry. The fifth of six children born and raised on a Town of Arcade dairy farm, Paul Bliss knew how to roll up his sleeves and get the job done. Fueled by an insatiable work ethic and tooled with years of hands-on construction knowledge, an engineering background, and construction management experience with estimating expertise, Paul was the cog that made the visionary wheel spin.

When founded in the spare bedroom of the humble first home that Kevin had built, Patrick was known for operating twenty four hours a day. Twenty-four hour operations are unusual in the construction industry, but unheard of with only two employees, Curry and Bliss. The early days consisted of small commercial jobs, a few custom homes, and minor land development. Patrick would soon move its offices to Williamsville and add its first employee Susan Ballard, also a Notre Dame Business School graduate and currently Patrick’s Chief Operations Officer.

The combination third shift construction projects, off-site home construction, and speculative land development was kind to Patrick.  Patrick's modern day success story soon moved to its first company owned office located in a former Transit Road home in East Amherst.

The Elite Vision of Patrick's Way continued to flourish as Patrick was adding satisfied clients to its growing list of successful and noteworthy projects. It wasn’t long until Patrick was recognized as an industry leader amongst General Contractors, Custom Home Builders, and Real Estate Developers. Patrick continued to add jobs to the Buffalo Niagara region and soon needed larger headquarters and replaced the home at 8610 Transit with its brand new East Amherst Corporate Headquarters. Two years later, an addition to the headquarters signified another expansion milestone of the Patrick Group of Companies.

After just over one decade in business, Patrick is eagerly refining its Elite Vision and is preparing for the next decade of our American Success Story. We regularly complete jobs from tens of thousand of dollars to tens of millions of dollars. Patrick is one of the largest commercial general contractors in the area. We are a premier custom homebuilder and one of the top developers in the area.

While Patrick Homes is retaining and refining its high-end custom homes business, Patrick Development is expanding its construction services in the Buffalo Niagara region and along the New York State Thruway corridor. Our quantity and quality of Patrick owned and development parcels continues to increase with each change of seasons.
